Exemption for the Members of Religious Charities
To have modified the tax deductions withdrawn from the monthly pension of members of a religious community for the current year or the year to come, the forms presented on this page have to be filled out and sent respectively to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and Revenu Québec.
Those two agencies will evaluate your request and will send you their decision regarding the year referred to in writing. Once the decisions are received, you must mail them to us so that the exemption can be applied.
In addition,
if you apply in the name of members of a religious community, you must include with the decisions from the
CRA and Revenu Québec the list of the beneficiaries referred to as well as their social insurance number.
You have to apply to the
CRA and Revenu Québec
each year, as demanded by the federal and provincial governments. At the end of the year, we will send you a letter reminding you to send your applications to the
CRA and Revenu Québec if you still wish to benefit from the exemption the following year. If we do not receive your decisions within the prescribed deadline, the exemption will be void on January 1st of the following year.
