Every spring, we update our List of Baby Names with data from the previous year.
The list of given names since 1980 is available on the

The Family Allowance in brief
If your child was born in Québec, you do not need to file an application. When you send your newborn's birth certificate to the Directeur de l'état civil, you are automatically signed up to receive Family Allowance.
Family Allowance payments are made 4 times a year, that is, in January, April, July and October. You can also receive your allowance on a monthly basis if you file an application after you receive your first payment.
CalculAide is a tool that makes it possible to estimate the amount of the
Family Allowance
payments to which you could be entitled.
