Amending the plan
All amendments to the plan
must be registered with
Retraite Québec. In this section, administrators will find information about how to register amendments to a pension plan in accordance with the
Supplemental Pension Plans Act .
Plans with fewer than 51 members and beneficiaries
An
employer or a limited pension committee that is designated by the plan as the administrator is subject to the same obligations and responsibilities as the administrators of larger plans.
A few
basic rules apply to amendments. Furthermore, the employer must generally
consent to amendments and the plan members must be
notified of amendments. Some amendments require
Retraite Québec's approval or authorization.
