Regulatory amendments made to the Pension Plan of Peace Officers in Correctional Services (PPPOCS)

Changes to your pension plan

On 19 November 2018, amendments were made to the Regulation respecting the designation of classes of employees and the determination of special provisions applicable to employees of the Institut Philippe-Pinel.

The main amendment made to the PPPOCS pertains to:

Kinesiologists

Effective date: 11 December 2017

The job title of one of the classes of employees at the Institut Philippe-Pinel was changed. As a result, a physical education instructor is now designated as a physical education instructor/kinesiologist. The participation and qualification period of kinesiologists for the PPPOCS begin on the effective date of the amendment, that is, 11 December 2017.

Professional social workers

Effective date: 4 January 2018

A new class of employee was added to the classes of employees at the Institut Philippe-Pinel covered under the PPPOCS: professional social worker. The participation and qualification period of these employees for the PPPOCS begin on the effective date of the amendment, that is, 4 January 2018.
