Act to amend various pension plans in the public sector (S.Q. 2011, c. 24)
 | Legislative amendments resulting mainly from the negotiations that led to the renewal of collective agreements in 2010 were made further to the sanction of the Act to amend various pension plans in the public sector (S.Q. 2011, c. 24) on November 2, 2011. |
Here are the main amendments:
- Formula for calculating contributions
- Pension indexation for service between July 1, 1982 and
December 31, 1999 inclusively
- Benefits related to a transfer from an SPP
- Increase in the maximum number of years of service from 35
to 38
- Crediting of contributions by an employee who held casual
employment before January 1, 1988.
