Payment of fees

The fees payable to Retraite Québec are listed in the Fee schedule section and can be paid:

• online on the website of an authorized financial institution;
• by cheque or postal money order.

Payment by credit card is not accepted.

The fees payable are all those related to:

• a supplemental pension plan (e.g.: pension plan in the private, municipal or university sector);
• a locked-in retirement account (LIRA);
• a life income fund (LIF);
• a voluntary retirement savings plan (VRSP).

To make a payment, you must have a reference number assigned by Retraite Québec's Direction générale des régimes complémentaires de retraite, regardless of whether your payment is made online, by cheque or postal money order. The number is specific to each type of fee. If you do not have it, contact us by telephone or by email.

Online payments on the website of an authorized financial institution

You must meet the requirements of the financial institution and Retraite Québec in order to make online payments within the required deadlines.

You must make a bill payment on the financial institution's website and specify:

• Retraite Québec – RCR as the payee (that name is on the list of organizations and companies registered as payees with the financial institution [e.g.: providers]);
• the reference number assigned by Retraite Québec's Direction générale des régimes complémentaires de retraite.

Depending on the terms and conditions of the institution, other payment methods can be used for the bill payment, provided the preconditions are met:

• at an automatic teller machine (ATM);
• in person at the counter;
• by telephone (automated service).

Cheque or postal money order

The cheque or postal money order must:

• be made payable to Retraite Québec;
• include the reference number assigned by Retraite Québec's Direction générale des régimes complémentaires de retraite;
• be sent to one of the two following addresses.
